Kralendijk, May 18th, 2022 – Water- en Energiebedrijf Bonaire (WEB) is pleased to announce the construction of its new headquarters. The building will be located on a vacant lot at Kaminda Djabou. The tender will start soon.
The need for a new head office has been around for some time. Construction was originally supposed to start in 2018. WEB had to postpone the plans due to other priorities. We have given priority to the implementation of the new legislation for drinking water and electricity, the construction of the new drinking water plant, new water reservoirs on Seru Largu and the renewal and extension of the sewage system in Belnem and Hato.
WEB’s new head office will be a functional building with sustainable and cost-saving elements.
Central location
The location on the Kaminda Djabou is central, close to the new drinking water facility in Hato. The office is carefully integrated into the environment. WEB strives for a logistically efficient head office with more extensive facilities and sufficient growth capacity.
According to the current schedule, the new headquarters will be completed in 2024. WEB will announce details when the tender process is completed. This is expected to take three to four months.
