Purchasing policy

WEB wants to be a reliable, honest and professional client. We would like to offer our contractors fair and equal opportunities. That is why we demand of our employees and our external advisors that they comply with the Corporate Governance Code of the Island Territory of Bonaire. This includes the procurement rules the Code lays down and any future procurement rules that apply to Bonaire.

WEB is not subject to European procurement rules. Yet our purchasing policy does aim to comply to these – adapted to the local situation where needed. WEB places its orders based on individual or collective private or public tenders.

WEB also takes account of the local economy. For private tenders we will always examine if procurement is possible locally. We also take account of the ‘smaller’ companies by applying bid packages. Prior to a tender, WEB verifies if there are stakes outside Bonaire

Public tender

In case of interest outside Bonaire, then follows a public tender. WEB will then publish an announcement of the intended assignment in one or more newspapers and on this website.

Each tender of WEB has its own tender instructions. In this document you can read how you can participate, what kind of assignment it concerns, where you can request for tender documents and when the registration will close.

Prior-information notice

WEB invites you to make your interest for a tender known in writing – by post of by e-mail.
