Kralendijk, – June 4, 2025-Water and Energy Company Bonaire (WEB) marked a historic moment with the official opening of its new headquarters.
During the ceremony, WEB’s CEO, Mr. Raymond “Roy” Silberie, highlighted three key achievements:
Expansion of the Drinking Water Plant in Hato
WEB increased its production capacity from 7,200 to 9,600 cubic meters per day to meet growing demand and ensure a reliable supply of drinking water for Bonaire.
Reinforcement of the WEB NOBO Substation
A technically advanced project, led by a local team with support from international experts, significantly enhancing the island’s electricity distribution capacity. The installation was operational as of May 2025.
Opening of WEB’s New Office Building
A modern and inclusive space, designed to promote comfort, accessibility, and collaboration among colleagues and customers. The new building stands as a tangible symbol of WEB’s ongoing commitment to Bonaire.
“These projects reflect our vision for the future and our dedication to serving Bonaire with passion and professionalism,” said Silberie. “We are extremely proud of the contribution of everyone who worked on these projects.”
The ceremony concluded with an official ribbon-cutting performed by Mrs. Joanne Balentien-Nicastia (CFO of WEB) and Mrs. Emelie Martijn (member of WEB’s Supervisory Board).
