Moderate the temperature of your AC
Especially at the hottest time of year, customers rely on their air conditioner to keep them cool. A common misconception is that a room cools down faster if the thermostat is set low, at 16 degrees for example. This is not true!
It takes just as long to cool the room to 25 degrees. You probably don’t need 16 degrees; when the outside temperature is 40 degrees, 25 degrees is already considerably cooler.
Colder is not better!
If you set a lower temperature, the compressor of your AC will run longer. That means: more power consumption. If you set a higher temperature, the compressor will run for a shorter period of time. That means: less power consumption and less load on the electricity grid.
Save on power, money and capacity
Keep the temperature of your AC at a moderate level. You save on electricity and on your electricity bill.
